I am a Durham University Graduate with a First-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science and Philosophy. Having a degree in two distinct subjects, requiring vastly different skillsets, has me prepared for anything!
Since university, I have explored the world of graphic design and web development, through which my interest in user experience began to evolve. I was inspired to complete several courses in User Experience Design, which further developed my interests in design and making others happy.
I have also volunteered at St Margaret's Centre, Durham, where I supported the running of arts & crafts classes for adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, helping them to regain their confidence, motivation and self-esteem while learning new skills.
I currently work as a programme support worker at a day centre for autistic and/or neurodivergent adults. Here, I support vulnerable individuals to get through their day safely and without judgement, while helping them to learn skills in subjects including arts & crafts, macrame, and horticulture.
